On August 10th, 2013, BAPS Charities (Lansdale chapter) is hosting its 3rd Children’s Health and Safety Day to promote health and safety awareness for parents, caretakers, and children in the community in line with national health and safety initiatives including those from US Department of Health & Human Services Stop Bullying Initiative, The National Institute of Health We Can! program, and First Lady Michelle Obama’s Let’s Move campaign.
Highlights of the events include interactive workshops, insightful presentations, and a Teddy Bear Clinic which help simulate real-life situations. The event will provide over 200 children and caretakers the unique opportunity to participate in fire, police, and ambulance tours as well as other fun, educational sessions. This year’s Children’s Health & Safety Days will be geared towards empowering children to choose to be against bullying, choose to be healthy, and choose to be safe online.
