One-of-a-Kind Hatfield Fitness Facility Celebrates Grand Opening on September 14

Hatfield, PA -- Urban Fit, Inc., a 10,500-square foot fitness facility located on Route 309 in Hatfield, PA, is commemorating its grand opening through the month of September with an action-packed celebration on Saturday, September 14, 10am – 3pm. The exciting event features class demonstrations, prize giveaways, health and wellness vendors, refreshments and special surprises for visitors.

Urban Fit, Inc. was created by co-owners Carl Beigler and Tara Pendergraft, two local entrepreneurs with a passion for fitness that transcends the "typical" gym. Urban Fit, Inc. does not utilize traditional mechanized equipment, such as treadmills and ellipticals. Instead, skilled trainers coach members to use their own bodies as fitness equipment, and use tools such as TRX suspension bands, which are used in the most elite tactical training programs to maximize workouts. Classes at Urban Fit, Inc. include various levels of Boot Camp, Boxing and Kickboxing with full bag work, TRX suspension training and Power Yoga. Urban Fit, Inc. is also the only facility in the area to offer a 1,500-square foot obstacle course that will challenge even the fittest of athletes. With eight highly-trained and motivating fitness trainers on staff leading a variety of heart-pumping and energy-induced classes, Urban Fit, Inc. promises to reinvent your workout experience.

The seeds of Urban Fit, Inc. were planted, when Pendergraft moved back to the Hatfield area, after living in Manhattan for five years.

“In New York City, I had access to some of the most advanced and creative fitness options available,” co-owner Tara Pendergraft explains. “I quickly realized such programs didn’t exist in the Philadelphia suburbs. That’s when Carl and I decided to create a unique experience for local fitness enthusiasts, from beginner to advanced, that until now could only be experienced in a large city.”
