Ken Ludwig's Leading Ladies, at The Village Players of Hatboro

In this hilarious farce by Tony Award winning playwright Ken Ludwig (Lend Me a Tenor, Moon Over Buffalo), when down on their luck actors Leo and Jack hear that the wealthy, recently deceased Florence wishes to leave a portion of her money to her long lost nephews Max and Steve, they think their luck has turned around. All they have to do is impersonate Max and Steve, how hard could that be?

Except, Max and Steve are actually Maxine and Stephanie. And Florence is not so dead as her dimwitted doctor, Doc, had believed her to be. Things only become more complicated when Leo, as Maxine, begins to fall for Florence’s other niece, Meg. Worse, Meg is engaged to the local minister Duncan, who was really looking forward to his wife receiving the full inheritance, and immediately becomes suspicious of the “ladies.” How long can they keep themselves under cover (and in high heels)?
