Reinventing Industrial Land in Ambler - Boiler House Tour & Happy Hour
Small suburban towns and boroughs represent the earliest examples of transit-oriented development, springing up along the rail lines that helped make Philadelphia a center of commerce and industry during the 19th century. In Montgomery County, the Borough of Ambler has evolved from its industrial “factory town” roots into a hub for dining, entertainment and tourism. One of the town’s crowning achievements is the recent opening of the Ambler Boiler House, the successful adaptive reuse of a landmark industrial building into unique and distinctive office space.
