Route 202 Parkway Trail Bike Ride hosted by the PEC

June is National Trail Month! To celebrate, on June 21, the Pennsylvania Environmental Council will host a 30 mile guided bike ride on the Route 202 Parkway Trail, a portion of The Circuit trail system. The 30 mile ride, guided by Curt Venditti of Michael Baker Corporation, the engineering firm that designed the trail, highlights cutting edge methods of developing alternative modes of transportation in an automobile-dominated world and is the third in PEC’s month-long series.

Participants will meet at the Ambler Train Station at 8:30 AM and ride north on the 202 Parkway Trail to Doylestown's Central Park, then return to Ambler for a catered lunch at 34 East Tavern.

The Circuit is a multi-use trail network that connects 275 miles of trails throughout the Greater Philadelphia area in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, with plans to add 475 additional miles to the system.  When fully complete, The Circuit will help connect people to jobs, recreational opportunities, public transportation and other neighborhoods, and will serve as a gateway to open green space.
