The Alex Valeno Exceptional Persons 5K Walk/Run

This is a charity event hosted by the Special Education Club of Gwynedd Mercy University. The funds raised will be used to support CHOP’s Cardiac Unit, Camp Fireflies, The Autism Institute and The Alex Valeno Special Education Award.

Alex Valeno was an active club member and co-president of the club until January 2013 when she suddenly passed away due to congenital heart disease. In order to honor her, the club has started The Alex Valeno Special Education Award and has designated the 5K in her name.

- Festivities include: DJ, food, 50/50, raffle baskets, prompt awards & more!
- This race will take place on Gwynedd Mercy University's Campus. 
- Registration at the race will be cash/check only.
- Ample parking, bathrooms & water.
- All participants are guaranteed a shirt IF registered BEFORE March 2, 2014.
- Registrants later than March 2 will receive t-shirts on a first come,first serve basis!

- Fast & flat looping, wheel-measured course through the beautiful Gwynedd Mercy University Campus.
- Medals for top 3 male and female finishers - first male & female finishers award valued at $100 each!
