LAFS Splitting $50,000 Among 16 Charities, Nonprofits

The Lansdale Area Fundraising Society will distribute proceeds from the 2013 Lansdale Beer Tasting Festival to local charities at an Oct. 29 event.

The love of beer has made the missions of 16 area charities, organizations and nonprofits much easier, thanks to Lansdale Area Fundraising Society.
LAFS is set to distribute the proceeds from the 2013 Lansdale Beer Tasting Festival to beneficiaries at an Oct. 29 Community Appreciation Reception at Shell.Fish.Sue.
A total of $50,000 raised from the fourth-annual Beerfest will be divided and donated to the following organizations:

  • Manna on Main Street
  • Lansdale Public Library
  • North Penn Rotary
  • LAFS scholarship fund
  • Lansdale Farmers' Market
  • Variety Club
  • Lansdale Police Department/D.A.R.E. program
  • Operation Enduring Warrior
  • North Penn Little League (formerly Lansdale Little League)
  • Volunteer Medical Service Corps of Lansdale
  • North Penn Squires
  • North Penn Boys and Girls Club
  • Laurel House
  • Fairmount Fire Co. of Lansdale
  • Children's Hospital of Philadelphia
  • Almost Home Dog Shelter
Since its inception, LAFS has raised more than $100,000 for area charitable organizations and agencies through events such as the Molly's Miler Run and the Lansdale Beer Tasting Festival.
