2. Lansdale Library hosts a clothing collection drive, coordinated by Brownie Troop 71525, beginning today to Nov. 9 for Cradles to Crayons. Look for the cardboard box at the library and find out needed items at http://cradlestocrayons.org/philadelphia.

3. A business play group holds its September meeting from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Round Guys Brewery, 324 W. Main St., Lansdale. The group is for networking and building business relationships in a casual atmosphere. One rule: Bring a friend, business partner, client or colleague.

4. A gun violence prevention storytelling tour comes to Ambler Mennonite Church at 7 p.m., sponsored by the Mennonite Central Committee. CeaseFirePA board member and former State Rep. Rick Taylor will share from his experiences with the gun lobby. There will be a panel of others discussing personal stories of the impact of gun violence.

5. North Penn School District students are off today for Yom Kippur.
