Hot Showers
Today I am grateful for hot showers. Yesterday after being in the pool for almost two hours, I was starting to seize up and get stiff like an old ironing board. (Anyone under thirty can Google ironing boards.) I couldn’t wait to get in the hot shower. It’s the “Y” so there is nothing glamorous about it, but the temperature didn’t disappoint.
Before he takes a shower, my husband puts on an extra heater in the bathroom and pumps the room temp up until I feel like I’m in a sauna, or worse, back in Jakarta. Then he takes a moderately hot shower. I don’t know how he even breathes in there.

Not me. I don’t mind if the room is cooler, as long as I can crank the water temp up to scald-the-feathers-off-a-chicken. It has to be hot, really hot and I’m very grateful when it is!
