Volunteering
Today I am grateful for volunteering. There was a time in my life when I had a much larger cash flow that in currently have. I didn’t mind sending a check to various organizations who I felt did good work, or for good causes.
Now I don’t have that kind of income. It’s frustrated me terribly to not be able to send a check to the Disabled American Veterans, United Way, the American Cancer Society, the Alzheimer’s Association and the MS Society.

Then it occurred to me that there is more to give than just money. Time. We lost a dear friend to MS several years ago. We have a family member with MS. I have a new friend who has MS. I signed us up and we will be at the North Penn High School at O’ Dark thirty (7 a.m.), to assist with the MS walk. I am checking in walkers and we’re not sure what John is doing because we don’t remember what he signed up for. Gotta love it.

I’m grateful that we are volunteering. It’s our way of giving when we don’t have the cash to give.
