Death Notice: Susan Kohler, 74, Former Colonial School District Teacher

Susan F. Kohler, 74, of Lansdale, died peacefully Friday, November 1, 2013 at her home surrounded by her family and friends.

Born January 22, 1939 in Greenville, NC, she was the daughter of the late Frances (Fleming) and Frank Williams Kohler.

Susan graduated from East Carolina University where she was a member of Alpha Delta Pi Sorority. She was a devoted and caring teacher for 37 years, mostly with the Colonial School District. Susan spent many memorable times in Ocean City, NJ where she diligently worked on her homes, but she also took time to enjoy boating and fishing.

She is survived by her brothers, James S. Kohler (Ray Lane) of Pelham, AL, and Frank William Kohler, Jr. (Nancy Davis) of Conshohocken. She was the most loving and adored aunt of her nephew, Frank W. Kohler III; niece, Monica Kohler; and great-niece, Hannah Ruth. Susan was also aunt to Susan Morton (Dan) and Jamie Herring (Jay) and great-aunt to their children, all of Alabama. She leaves behind first cousins in North Carolina; and many friends, especially lifelong friends, Michael Boland and Rose Cavalieri.

Relatives and friends may call after 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, November 6, 2013 at Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, 701 Derstine Ave., Lansdale, followed by the Celebration of Life at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be private.
