Headin' South

Finally we arrived in DC about an hour early so we decided to take in the sights of our Nations Capitol. After 5 hours of driving, just being out of the van was a treat. And so was the weather. Seeing the landmarks was great and FYI, the MLK statue looks like Dr. Dre. Seriously.

We got to the venue around 7 and started to load all the gear. Second night in a row we had to lug every thing up/down stairs. Pretty sure that's gonna be a common theme. But for the second night in a row we had a floor to sleep on. Hope that's a common theme also.

Now we are on our way to North Carolina. And if we're lucky, we'll find a shower and a nice shag carpet.

Crazy Story of the Day: Our tour mates Fairgrounds, needed toI get their vans oil changed, so they stopped at a Jiffy Lube. While getting the oil changed, they suspect one of the asshole grease monkeys went through theirs wallets. They had to call the cops and are still in Virginia, while we're 4 hours from the next venue.
