Heading Back East

I gotta be honest with you, the last few days have been such a blur, I'm gonna do my best remember what happened and where we were...

After a few days of shows every night, Thursday we played an acoustic show in the suburbs of Oklahoma City. For playing in a backyard it was a nice turnout. It was nice to have a night off and just watch the boys do their thing. We decided to drive all night and stop in Arkansas to sleep for the night. The next day we decided to sight see, stopping at meteor sites and the Hoover Dam. We soon traveled Route 66 to our day off in Nevada.

Feeling refreshed, we had our next show in Las Vegas. Friday night. Vegas. What could go wrong? The club was PACKED that night. Hanging in the parking lot I watched an acoustic/harmonica duo called Free LSD jam while some dudes shredded on skateboards. After the gig we had to our hotel room on the strip. What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas.

The next morning we made our way to Santa Monica, California. Fairgrounds and us took in the SoCal sunset and ate tacos. What a beautiful place. Lives up to everything everyone says. We had to be in Reno the next day so we drove through Hollywood, then hit the road.

We arrived in Reno at around 9 am and stopped to get food. First time in my life I ate chili and gambled at 9 in the morning. America. We couldn't check into the hotel until 1 pm so we hit up the music store and other assorted stops. When we did check in we all got some much needed sleep for tonight's gig at the Holland Project.
Club was really cool, with an art gallery in the front. One of the better crowds we've played for. People had a really good time. The sound and the room were perfect and all the bands were so good. We even played good. Now we have six shows the next seven nights in five states. Home stretch.
