Police began searching for Askew after parents of several teenage girls under the age of 14 came to them because they found a cellphone video that showed the teens intoxicated at Askew’s apartment on June 6.

The video shows that Askew was with the teens and was aware they were intoxicated from drinking alcohol and using cough medicine, according to authorities.

When he was arrested, Askew told officers he saw a story about his arrest warrant on a local news station while watching television the previous evening, police said.
