Alleged Lansdale Wife Beater Has Preliminary Hearing Continued

A Lansdale man accused of ripping the earrings out of his wife's ear and tearing part of her tongue during an argument had his hearing continued in Lansdale District Court last week, according to The Reporter.

Michael Molina, 23, is charged with simple assault, disorderly conduct and harassment in the alleged assault of his wife Dec. 14 at the Wissahickon Park Apartments in Lansdale, per reports.

A new date for the preliminary hearing is pending. Meanwhile, Molina intends to attend alcohol counseling, according to the article.

Police said neighbors called police at midnight Dec. 14 for loud arguing, banging noises and a crying woman in an apartment at the East Main Street apartment complex.

The alleged victim was found with an ice pack in her mouth; she told police that Molina allegedly ripped her mouth and officers saw the connection from the tongue to the mouth was bleeding and split, police said.

When the alleged victim came home from work shortly before midnight Dec. 13, she found Molina reeking of alcohol and discovered he allegedly stole $20 from her purse to buy vodka, police said.

They got into a verbal fight, which led to an alleged physical fight, police said.

Molina, who was walking his dog during police arrival, allegedly told officers his wife’s tongue ripped by her yelling at him, police said.
