Alleged Serial Bank Robber Heads to County Trial

Kyle Anthony Wilson, 21, of Fort Washington, is accused of robbing three banks in Montgomery County in March.

The Fort Washington man accused in a string of bank robberies in Montgomery County this month waived all charges against him to Montgomery County Court of Common Pleas Wednesday at Collegeville District Court.

Alleged serial bank robber Kyle Anthony Wilson, 21, remains incarcerated at Montgomery County prison. According to Michael Goldberg of The Reporter, Wilson’s bail was reduced by $1,000 at his hearing to $499,000. The reduction affords Wilson the chance to work at the prison and engage in extra recreational privileges, according to the article.

Wilson is accused of robbing the Citizens Bank inside Giant Food Store in Montgomery Township; the First Niagara Bank in Lower Providence on March 14; and the PNC Bank in Plymouth Township on March 11.
