Bank Robbed Second Time, Alleged Robber Nabbed

Citizen's Bank in Giant on Knapp Road in Montgomery was robbed of more than $1,200 Thursday, but the alleged robber from New Jersey was arrested by Towamencin Township Police.

A Hamilton, New Jersey man allegedly made off with more than $1,200 from the Citizen's Bank in Giant Food Store in Montgomery Township Thursday afternoon, but was nabbed by Towamencin Township Police 15 minutes later.

The bank was last robbed March 6.

Freddie Feliciano, 38, faces charges of robbery, terroristic threats, theft and other related offenses in Montgomeryville District Court. He remains incarcerated following arraignment by District Judge Rebar, who set bail at $100,000 cash, according to court records.

A preliminary hearing is set for May 29.

Police said the robbery occurred at 3:14 p.m. inside the 1201 Knapp Road store.

Feliciano allegedly approached the teller and passed a demand note, police said. He implied he had a gun and demanded money from the teller drawer, police said.

He fled with more than $1,200 out the south exit doors, police said.

Feliciano was allegedly seen entering a car on the side lot of the store. Police issued an All Points Bulletin on Feliciano's description and his vehicle's description, police said.

At 3:30 p.m., Towamencin Township Police spotted Feliciano west on Sumneytown Pike toward Bustard Road, police said. He was stopped and taken into custody.
