Lansdale Borough Police Department has an opening for a full-time officer.
Applications, which can be found online and at the borough offices, are due by 4 p.m. on July 18. A written test will be given the morning of Aug. 9 at Penndale Middle School.
Starting salary for the position is $52,672. Benefits include pension contributions, health, dental and life insurance and paid vacation, according to information posted on the borough's website.
Applicants must be a U.S. citizen, who is at least 21 years old and has a high school degree or GED. Applicants must be physically fit and meet one of the following educational and experience requirements:
- A minimum of two years (60 semester hours) from an accredited college (any credits awarded from MPOETC are applicable)
- Have completed two years active duty military experience with an Honorable Discharge and / or eligibility for Honorable Discharge if still engaged in military service at the time of application
- Have 2 years experience as a certified Law Enforcement Officer with a minimum of 1,000 hours of actual on the job experience.
