UPDATE: Rani's Indian Deli Robbed At Gunpoint
Police said the suspect fled north on Broad Street with $500 cash from the convenience store that is also known as Quick Way Food Mart

Lansdale Police have issued a press release Monday with additional details on the armed robbery June 1 of Rani's Indian Deli and Quick Way Food Mart.
Police responded at 9:50 p.m. to the business for a report of a panic alarm activation, police said.

Upon arrival, police spoke with the owner and a customer who stated a black male wearing a black mask, black hoodie, black pants and black sneakers entered the store and pointed a gun at the owner, police said.
The suspect demanded money and was given $500, police said.

The suspect fled north on South Broad Street.
Lansdale Police were assisted by Towamencin Township Police, Upper Gwynedd Township Police and a Plymouth Township K-9 Unit.
The suspect has yet to be located, police said.

A Lansdale convenience store was robbed at gunpoint on Friday evening.
The unidentified suspect entered Rani's Indian Deli and Quick Way Food Mart at 209 S. Broad Street at about 9:45 p.m. on Friday and displayed what appeared to be a handgun.
He demanded money from the lone employee on duty, took about $500 in cash, and fled north on Broad Street on foot, police at the scene said.
In addition to the employee, one customer was in the store at the time of the robbery. Nobody was injured.
The suspect was described as a thin black male, dressed in all black, and wearing a ski mask.
A police report on the matter could be available by Monday.
