DUI Charges Filed in Frist Friday Stage Crash

Lee R. Bainbridge, 45, of Hatfield, has been charged in conjunction with a crash April 4.

A 45-year-old Hatfield man has been charged for allegedly driving drunk and crashing into a stage that was set up for First Friday festivities.

According to The Reporter, Lee R. Bainbridge is facing one count of recklessly endangering another person, two counts of driving under the influence and one count of careless driving.

Lansdale police arrested the Hatfield Township man on suspicion of driving under the influence April 4 after he crashed into a stage on Wood Street, nearly hitting people who were there for the event. The incident occurred around 8:30 p.m., according to The Reporter.

Police told the publication no one was injured.  The man was arrested at the scene. Police were awaiting results from the blood test before filing charges.
