Ex-Towamencin Man Gets 23 Months for Statutory Sexual Assault of Girl, 15

Julius Christopher Demetrius V, 23, formerly of Community Drive, pleaded guilty in Montgomery County court, and must register as a sex offender for 25 years. The sexual assaults occurred in the Summer of 2012.

A former Towamencin man must register as a sex offender for 25 years and heads to prison for a maximum 23 months after pleading guilty to felony statutory sexual assault and indecent assault for having sex with a then 15-year-old girl when he was more than four years older between April and July 2012.
Italy native Julius Christopher Demetrius V, 23, formerly of the 100 block of Community Drive and now a resident of Northumberland County, was sentenced in Montgomery County court Friday to 11½ months to 23 months in Montgomery County prison, per Pottstown Mercury. Demetrius V begins his prison sentence on Oct. 21.
Per the article, Demetrius has to report his address to the Pennsylvania State Police for 25 years under the state's Sex Offender Registration and Notification Act.
Demetrius was arrested by Towamencin Township Police in August 2012 following an investigation into sexual assault allegations.
Back in September 2012, the 16-year-old victim took the stand at Demetrius' preliminary hearing and testified about trysts with her friend’s 21-year-old brother that began in Panama and ended in Dock Village in Towamencin over a three-month period in 2012.
Demetrius was originally charged with 35 sex crimes, including 10 felony counts of statutory rape and three charges of felony involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, per court records. He was also charged with 10 felony counts of aggravated indecent assault on a child less than 16 years old and 10 misdemeanor counts of indecent assault on a person less than 16 years of age, according to court records.
The affair came to light after the victim disclosed to her parents that she had been involved in a sexual relationship with a 21 year old, according to an affidavit of probable cause.
The victim testified last year that she and Demetrius first had sex in Panama, where she accompanied his family on a trip. The sex continued in one to two week increments through July 22, 2012, usually on the weekend and during sleepovers with Demetrius’ younger sister at her mom’s house in Dock Village.
She testified that Demetrius “used his fingers and penis” on her about 10 times. They had oral sex about four times, she said.
Demetrius, she said, would text her from the living room for her to come out and have sex with him when the family was asleep.
According to the affidavit, the father of the victim, then 15, met with Towamencin Township detectives on July 27, 2012 concerning statutory sexual offenses.
The victim told her parents about the relationship during the week of July 23, police said.
The affidavit states that Demetrius told the victim not to tell anyone about what they were doing as he could get in trouble with law enforcement.
