Five Injured In Wednesday's Five Points Crash

Five people were taken to the hospital on Wednesday afternoon, following a at the Five Points intersection in Montgomery Township.
Both vehicles sustained heavy front-end damage, and emergency responders from the Fire Department of Montgomery Township had to extricate two male victims from the white truck, which came to rest against the guardrail in front of Ruby Tuesday's.
According to published reports, the truck was traveling southbound on Route 309 and the sedan was traveling northbound on Route 309 as the vehicles entered the intersection. The vehicles collided as the sedan attempted to make a left-hand turn on westbound Route 463, but the cause of the crash remains under investigation by the Montgomery Township Police Department.

Traffic at the intersection slowed to a crawl for nearly an hour, as crews worked to free the victims, tow the vehicles and clean the debris.
