Four Displaced in Bergey Road Fire

The fire broke out shortly after 3:45 p.m.

Update

Hatfield Township Fire Marshal Mike Waldron told The Reporter that neither resident nor firefighter were injured.

Upon arrival, flames were shooting out the left front and side windows, according to the article.

The incident remains under investigation.

Earlier Story

Hatfield Vol. Fire Co. crews, along with assistance from Souderton Perseverance Fire Co. and Towamencin Vol. Fire Co., battled a house fire at 2075 Bergey Road Tuesday afternoon.

The fire in the one-and-a-half-story Cape Cod was knocked down in about an hour.

Crews could be seen extinguishing flames in the upstairs and downstairs right side of the home. Crews also dumped clothing and other amenities out of the top floor window of the home.

A family of four was seen being assisted by a representative of the American Red Cross.

Volunteer Medical Service Corps Special Service also responded to the scene. 

Montgomery County property records list the owners of the home as William and Mirlande Guerrier.

Hatfield Fire Police closed Bergey Road between Cowpath Road and Penn Avenue/Souderton-Harleysville Pike.
