The Lansdale Police Department was seeking the public's help in locating the alleged cocaine dealer from Hatfield, who police say sold the drug in the Lansdale area.

Gross was also wanted by the Montgomery County Adult Probation Department for a probation violation.

Gross pleaded guilty in 2011 to assaulting his then-pregnant girlfriend in Lansdale.

Police said that in October 2012, the Lansdale Police Department received information that Gross Jr. was allegedly involved in the sale of drugs.

Lansdale officers on the Montgomery County District Attorney's Local Drug Task Force conducted surveillance on Gross Jr. and allegedly saw him make a drug transaction with another individual, police said.

Lansdale Police recovered the drugs Gross allegedly sold and determined it was cocaine and Xanax, police said.

In December 2012, District Judge Harold Borek issued a felony arrest warrant for Gross’s alleged involvement in the October drug delivery.

On that same date, Gross made an online post on Lansdale Patch's Facebook page.

In the post, Gross wrote:

On February 22, Gross Jr. contacted police and said he would turn himself in, police said.

Police said on February 25, at 3:11 p.m., Lansdale Police officers were conducting surveillance at an apartment building on the 1100 block of West Main Street in Lansdale, and saw an occupied blue Ford hatchback in the parking lot.

Gross Jr. was the front seat passenger of the vehicle, police said.

Officers approached the vehicle and Gross Jr. allegedly fled on foot, police said.

Police saw Gross Jr. allegedly throw four bags of suspected heroin during the chase, police said. He was apprehended and the heroin was recovered, police said.

Gross Jr. was arraigned before Borek on the following charges:

  • Felony possession with intent to deliver cocaine and Xanax
  • Misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance
  • Misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia
  • Misdemeanor receipt in commerce
  • Felony flight to avoid apprehension
  • Misdemeanor possession of heroin
  • Misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia

Bail is set at $25,000 cash for the October 2012 case and $10,000 cash bail on the February 2013 case, police said.

Gross Jr. remains incarcerated at Montgomery County prison in lieu of bail and on the probation violation detainer, police said.

A preliminary hearing is set for March 14 at 11:30 a.m. before Borek.
