Hatfield Police Make DUI Arrest

Suspect was vomiting, taken to hospital

A man driving a green Cheverolet pickup was arrested by the Hatfield Police Department early Monday morning, on suspicion of driving under the influence after officers made a traffic stop on Oak Boulevard.

Shortly after 1 a.m., the suspect's vehicle was pulled over while traveling south on Oak Boulevard.  Multiple units from the Lansdale and Towamencin Police Departments arrived shortly after.

Upon exiting the vehicle, the driver showed signs of impairment, including a loss of balance and slurred speech.

Police quickly arrested the man, who vomited on the street several times prior to being placed in the back of the patrol car.

A member of the Towamencin Police Department stated that Hatfield had jurisdiction, and that the suspect was taken to Lansdale Hospital for testing and evaluation.
