High Angle Rescue On Franklin Street

Victim suffered seizure while working on roof

A contractor working on the home, located at 461 Franklin St. in Lansdale, needed to be rescued after he suffered an apparent seizure while laying a new roof.

A ladder truck was dispatched from the Fairmount Fire Company around 2:45 p.m. on Friday afternoon.  Units from the Volunteer Medical Service Corps of Lansdale also responded to the scene.

According to Fairmount Fire Chief Joe Stockert, the victim was described to be 25 to 30 years of age, and he was taken to Lansdale Hospital in stable condition.

The victim was carried from the rooftop down to the street while on a stretcher and was then moved onto a wheeled stretcher and placed into an ambulance.
