Hilltown Man Allegedly Steals Car, Uses Credit Card Found in Purse

Brandon Somers, 22, of Upper Church Road, was captured on surveillance allegedly using stolen credit cards that were found in a purse inside a car that he also allegedly stole from a home.

A Hilltown Township man faces felony theft, receiving stolen property and felony access device fraud charges after allegedly stealing a vehicle and using credit cards found in a purse that was left in the car, police said.
On Oct. 26, 2013, at 12:40 p.m., police responded to the 600 block of Upper Church Road, Hilltown, for a report of a stolen vehicle.
Police said the vehicle had been taken from a private residence and it contained a purse with various credit cards.
The cards were used without authorization at various businesses, police said.
Business surveillance identified Brandon Somers, 22, of the 600 block of Upper Church Road as the alleged thief, police said.
