Illegal Immigrant Pleads Guilty to Telford Hit-and-Run

An illegal immigrant formerly from Hatfield admitted in Montgomery County Court of Common Pleas to a hit-and-run incident that happened in Telford on June 5.

According to Peg Gibbons of PhillyBurbs.com, Walter Antonio Milla Quintero, 24, formerly of Roosevelt Avenue, received Sept. 7 a time-served to 12-month prison sentence after pleading guilty to the hit-and-run.

Homeland Security’s Immigration and Customs Enforcement Agency filed a detainer to take custody of Quintero, according to the article.

He will be taken into custody following his prison sentence.

Police said the hit-and-run occurred at 9 p.m. June 5 on the 400 block of West Broad Street, Telford.

According to the article, Quintero attempted to pass a car on the left side that was making a left turn into the VFW parking lot.

Quintero’s car collided with the vehicle, and a passenger suffered an injury, according to the article.

Police eventually stopped Quintero’s car in a parking lot on the 200 block of West Broad Street, according to the article.

Quintero had a counterfeit Pennsylvania ID card and a fake Honduras international driver’s license, according to the article.

Quintero allegedly told police he had a prior arrest for illegally entering the United States, according to the article.
