Lansdale Cleaning Lady Admits Stealing Money from Clients, Gets Probation

Brenda McLaughlin, 32, of the 200 block of Green Street, Lansdale, admitted stealing $170 from a Hatfield Township home.

A Lansdale woman who cleaned houses received one year probation after admitting to stealing money from the home of a Hatfield Township client, according to The Intelligencer.
Brenda McLaughlin, 32, of the 200 block of Green Street, must also pay back the $170 she stole from the Schwab Road home and perform 24 hours of community service, per the report.
It was McLaughlin's clients who finally nabbed her in her thieving scheme. 
According to authorities, the clients, who believed McLaughlin was stealing from them, set up McLaughlin by placing $10 under a bed and $160 in a dresser drawer. After she cleaned the home on March 4, 2011, the clients checked the locations and found the money missing.
McLaughlin admitted using the money on groceries and buying stuff for her children.
