Lansdale Man Admits to Installing Hidden Camera in School Bathroom

Conal Irvin James Wright, 37, of W. Mt. Vernon Street, installed a camera via Velcro to a chair in the corner of a women's bathroom at Souderton Vantage Program School in Franconia.

A Lansdale resident pleaded guilty this month to several invasion of privacy charges after he admitted to putting a hidden camera in the women’s bathroom at a Franconia school.
Futhermore, authorities said the man was recorded by said camera installing it in the bathroom.
Conal Irvin James Wright, 37, of the 400 block of West Mt. Vernon Street, will undergo psychological evaluation and will be evaluated by the state Sexual Offender Assessment Board to determine if he is a sexually violent predator under Megan’s Law, according to North Penn Life.
Wright is free on bail and faces up to two years in prison, according to the report.
Wright installed a camera via Velcro under a chair in the corner of a women’s restroom at Souderton Vantage Program School in Franconia Township in January 2013.
Wright was captured on the video card in the camera installing it in the bathroom, police said. A female employee spotted the camera, removed it and reported it to authorities.
