Lansdale Man Allegedly Found With 7.7 Grams of Weed Gets Dealing Charge Dismissed

A Lansdale man who heads to trial in 2014 for allegedly assaulting his landlord with a knife and tire iron is heading to trial again for misdemeanor drug charges following a preliminary hearing this week.
William Keith Kane, 24, of the 400 block of Wade Avenue, had a felony charge of marijuana possession with intent to deliver dismissed at a preliminary hearing Tuesday, per The Reporter.
Kane's lawyer argued that the 7.7 grams of marijuana, digital scale, glass pipe, and blue grinder with marijuana residue was not enough to support the requirements for the felony charge, per the article.
Lansdale District Judge Harold Borek agreed and dismissed the charge. Kane still faces misdemeanor drug charges and a public drunkenness charge stemming from his Sept. 25 arrest on the 300 block of Line Street near Crystal Terrace Apartments.
