Lansdale Man Allegedly Gave Beer to Underagers at Party, Police Say

Michael Allen Steffens, 48, of Beechwood Avenue, allegedly denied any underage persons were at his home, but police eventually found five persons under 21 in his basement.

A Lansdale man faces charges of misdemeanor corruption of minors and misdemeanor providing alcohol to minors after allegedly giving beer to underage individuals at his home on Oct. 12, according to The Reporter.
Michael Allen Steffens, 48, of the 1100 block of Beechwood Avenue, allegedly told police he had just woken up and was unaware of an unconscious and drunk 18 year old at his home, per the report. Officers had responded to the home for a report of an unconscious subject.
The teen had a BAC level of .183 percent, per the report.
Steffens insisted there was not an underage drinking party at his home, insisting the beer on the porch was his and no one was there; six individuals then emerged from the basement, five of whom were under 21 and two under 18, per the report.
