Lansdale Man Arraigned on 22 Felonies for Alleged Silk Factory Thefts

Huan Nguyen, 37, allegedly stole a set of master keys at the Lansdale apartment complex on Line Street and proceeded to steal items and packages from neighbors. Nguyen is also being held for a separate 2005 diamond heist in Philadelphia.

In 2009, expensive items and packages began to disappear from apartments at Silk Factory Lofts in Lansdale.

The alleged culprit wasn’t a ghost, but a tenant who allegedly got his hands on a set of master keys.

Now, Huan Nguyen, 37, according to The Reporter, heads to a preliminary hearing on those Silk Factory thefts following arraignment in Lansdale District Court this week.

It was revealed that Nguyen is an alleged expert filcher, having been connected to numerous Lansdale burglaries in 2009 and a 2005 diamond heist in Philadelphia, according to The Reporter.

According to court records, Nguyen was arraigned on 22 felonies for the Silk Factory thefts.

Bail was set at $50,000, according to court records. The Reporter reports that Nguyen was just released from federal custody after a year and is currently held at Philadelphia County prison on $990,000 bail.
