Lansdale Police Ready to Aid in Trick or Treating

Police will be on hand to hand out glow-in-the-dark bands

Lansdale Police Chief Robert McDyre has assigned extra patrol units for residential neighborhoods this evening to aid in making sure children are safe in trick or treating.

Officers will have not only candy on hand, but also glow-in-the-dark bands to hand out to children.

The glow bands, according to Sgt. Alex Kromdyk, will help parents readily see their children as they walk from house to house.

The bands will also allow drivers to see children trick or treating as they walk on sidewalks and streets.

McDyre encouraged parents to be their most vigilant when walking with children, due to debris following Hurricane Sandy.
