Lansdale Woman Injured in Snowy Spin-Out in Skippack

Sherri Costello, 51, was injured when the Ford Explorer she was a passenger in flipped onto its driver side on a snow-covered Skippack Pike, police said.

A Lansdale woman was treated for injuries at Lansdale Hospital Dec. 8 after a one-vehicle accident on Skippack Pike that flipped the car she was in onto its driver side.
Sherri L. Costello, 51, was the passenger in a 2004 Ford Explorer driven by Michael Costello, 49, Pennsylvania State Police said.
Police said the vehicle was traveling west on Skippack Pike, just past Kerr Road, when it began to slide on the snow-covered road.
Michael Costello, police said, was unable to control the vehicle and the Explorer spun in a clockwise direction. The Explorer left the roadway to the north (right) side, police said.
The Explorer's tires hit the soft, wet ground on the side of the road, causing them to catch and flip and roll over to its driver side, police said.
Skippack Ambulance responded to the scene and transported Costello to the hospital.
