Lansdale Woman, Not Child, Fell From Moving Vehicle Monday in Whitpain

Contrary to early scanner and media reports, a child was not the victim Monday on Yost Rd. in Whitpain Township

On Monday, July 9, around 5 p.m., Whitpain emergency services were dispatched to Yost Rd. in the area of Guiteras Dr. for the report of a child that fell from a moving vehicle.

, stating a 12-year-old girl had jumped from a moving vehicle after arguing with her family.

On Tuesday, released a statement that, while original dispatch reports said a child fell from a vehicle, when officers arrived on scene, they found a 42-year-old female, from Lansdale, lying in the roadway. The victim was being attended to by the driver of the vehicle and witnesses.

The woman sustained head injuries from the fall and was transported to Abington Memorial Hospital by JeffStat Helicopter.
