A Towamencin man was arrested and charged March 30 with simple assault, harassment and disorderly conduct for allegedly biting and striking a woman during an argument.
took custody of and then arraigned John William Freiling, 21, of the 2400 block of Hillock Court before District Judge Robert Sobeck, police said.
He was released on $5,000 unsecured bail, police said.
Police said they responded to a reported disturbance in a parking lot on Hillock Court around 1:18 a.m.
They found Freiling sitting on a curb, police said.
An investigation revealed Freiling and a woman were involved in a verbal argument that turned physical, with Freiling allegedly biting and hitting the woman, police said.
A witness reported the assault stopped only after passers-by asked if the police were needed, police said.
