Man Unloading Boxes Asks Girls If They Want to See His Dog: Police

Towamencin Township Police are investigating a suspicious incident that occurred Nov. 3 on the 400 block of Militia Drive.

Towamencin Township Police are investigating a suspicious occurrence that took place Nov. 3 on the 400 block of Militia Drive where a man unloading boxes asked a group of young girls if they wanted to see his dog.
The incident was reported Nov. 6 to police.
On that day, an 11-year-old girl reported to a parent that on Nov. 3 at 11 a.m. she and a group of friends were walking a dog on Militia Drive, police said.
A man, who was unloading boxes from a dark-colored SUV, asked the girls if they wanted to see his dog, police said.
The girls did not approach and left the area, police said.
The suspicious individual is described as an older, short white man, police said.
Police believed they had identified the man and vehicle as a local resident, but now investigators are unable to confirm the identity of the man, police said.
Police said the actual intent of the man is unknown and is unclear if a criminal act was attempted by the man.
