Money, Gift Cards Needed for Carlson Family

The family lost everything in a fire that destroyed their Douglass Road home Feb. 9

The neighbors and friends of John and Linda Carlson have banded together to organize a donation effort for the family

Montgomeryville-Lansdale Patch reader Andrea Mehrotra, who resides next door to the Carlsons at 18 Douglass Road, met with Linda Carlson Saturday morning to get a better idea of what the neighborhood can do.

"Their immediate needs are being met," wrote Mehrotra. "They are in good shape with donations of food and clothing until they get settled in a temporary home."

What the Carlson family does need are monetary donations and gift cards.

Donations in check form can be made out to "Linda Carlson."

Gift cards are being asked from , , , , Genuardi's, JCPenney, Sears and any local restaurants.

Donations can be dropped off or mailed to Beth Faia, 14 Douglass Road, Lansdale, PA 19446.

While it is a Lansdale mailing address, the residence is in Montgomery Township.
