Montgomery Township Man Nabbed on Warrant

Curtis Walton, 50, of the Neshaminy Falls development, was pulled over after being recognized by a Whitpain Township police officer

Curtis Mansfield Walton, 50, of the 100 block of Upland Court, in the Neshaminy Falls development in Montgomery Township, was nabbed on an active warrant out of Hatfield Township by a Whitpain Township police officer.

On July 14, at 3 p.m., an officer on patrol on Railroad Avenue at Mt. Pleasant Avenue in the West Ambler section of Whitpain Township recognized Walton behind the wheel of a blue Mazda, police said.

The officer was aware that there was an active warrant out of Hatfield Township for Walton, police said.

The officer stopped the vehicle and took Walton into custody. He was later released to Hatfield Township Police.

According to Montgomery County court records, Walton is facing simple assault and harassment charges stemming from a July 14, 2012 incident in Hatfield Township.

Walton was arraigned July 14 before District Judge Harold Borek and bail was set at $25,000 cash, according to court records.

A preliminary hearing is set for July 24 at 9:30 a.m. before Borek.

Walton also has an open case in Lansdale Borough where he is charged with DUI offenses and careless driving, according to court records.
