Montgomery Township Police Investigating String of Daytime Burglaries

Montgomery Township Police said the burglaries occur between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m., and usually right after a homeowner leaves his or her property in the morning.

Montgomery Township Police are investigating a string of daytime residential burglaries that are taking place between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. in the township.

Police said the burglaries, in most instances, occur shortly after the homeowner leaves his or her home in the morning.

Entry is then made into the home by forcing open a door or window, police said.

In most of the burglaries, jewelry or other small items are taken from the homes, police said.

Montgomery Township Police urges residents to be vigilant in seeing and reporting suspicious activity or suspicious vehicles in their neighborhoods, and then reporting such activity or vehicles to Montgomery Township Police via 911.
