Neighbor Thwarts Attempted Burglary on Metz Road, Police Say

A black male in his teens or early 20s threw a rock through a rear first floor window of a home on the 1700 block of Metz Road Friday, police said.

A black male attempted to gain entry into an unoccupied home on Metz Road Friday by throwing a rock through the rear first floor window, but a watchful neighbor foiled his plans, police said.
On Friday, at 10:38 a.m., a resident on the 1700 block of Metz Road heard noises outside his neighbor's home and saw a man throw a rock through the rear first floor window, police said.
The neighbor began yelling and running toward the home, and the attempted burglar fled in an easterly direction, police said. The neighbor then contacted police. Towamencin Township Police searched the area with assistance from Montgomery Township K-9, but could not find the subject.
The criminal is described as a black male in his late teens or early 20s, with short cropped hair, 5 feet 10 inches tall, 170 pounds, and wearing a teal shirt and dark pants, police said.
