News Next Door: Horsham Man Arrested for Masturbating at Ambler YMCA

On May 21, Lower Gwynedd Police were called to the for a suspicious male who was possibly masturbating. Police were met by Joe Klenk, Senior Director of Membership and Marketing and Mark Yampolsky, Grounds Manager. The employees were told by two members that they saw an Asian male on the mezzanine work out area, touching himself and make a motion as if he were masturbating while he was looking at the two women.

According to police, the male was seen on a stretching machine and when the members reported this to YMCA employees, the male exited the building.

The male was identified as Edward Park, 21, of Horsham. He admitted to police to putting his hands inside his shorts and masturbating while looking at one of the two female victims.

In the investigation report from Lower Gwynedd Police, Park explained that his intention was to feel good and he was not really masturbating, because “playing with yourself is a quick in the moment type of thing but masturbating usually is to get hard and reach climax.”

He is charged with open lewdness.
