Four Displaced in Hatfield Township House Fire Thursday

Donations being accepted for children who escaped a fire that broke out around 9 a.m. on the second floor of a home at 827 Forty Foot Road, across from Pennfield Middle School.

Three people, including a 5-year-old boy and 3-year-old boy, escaped safely from a second-story house fire Thursday morning at 827 Forty Foot Road in Hatfield Township, per Facebook reports.
All three are under observation at Abington Health Lansdale Hospital, per reports.
The fire broke out around 9 a.m. across from Pennfield Middle School. Heavy smoke was reported from a second-story window.
A family member reports that everything was lost in the fire.
If interested in donating, clothes sizes are 5 for both children. Clothes can be dropped off in the rear of 19 E. Broad St. in Hatfield Borough. More information available at 267-776-1177 or 215-407-8513.
The building is a brick Old Colonial. It was well-known decades ago for its fruit stand that fronted Forty Foot Road. It is currently owned by RBJJ, LLC of Bergey Road in Hatfield, per county records.
The Reporter Online reports Hatfield Volunteer Fire Company, North Penn, Fairmount, Towamencin, Perseverance Volunteer Fire Company of Souderton, and Volunteer Medical Service Corps of Lansdale responded to the scene.
