Two men were killed after a motorcyclist struck a pedestrian who was walking along the Schuylkill Expressway early Tuesday morning.

Arnold Khemdy, 20, of North Wales, and a 40-year-old Philadelphia man, Hour Song Chheng, died at the scene as a result of injuries they sustained in the crash, according to NBC10.

The two deaths were the result of a series of accidents. According to 6ABC, at approximately 1 a.m., Khemdy crashed his car into a guardrail as he exited I-476 for I-76 eastbound and then, for reasons that aren't clear, got out of his disabled vehicle and started walking east on 76 in the right hand lane.

At mile marker 332.8, according to the Action News report, a group of motorcyclists came up behind Khemdy. The bike driven by Chheng hit the North Wales resident, throwing, and killing, both men. According to the Main Line Media News, a third vehicle may have hit Chheng after he was thrown from his bike.

The fatal accident caused numerous delays, backing up traffic on I-76 and I-476 until 6 a.m.
