North Wales Victim ID'd in Fatal Towamencin Crash

Travis Repp, 21, of North Wales, was pronounced dead at Abington Health - Lansdale Hospital

Police have identified the driver who was killed in a Saturday morning accident on Troxel Road in Towamencin as Travis Repp, 21, of the 200 block of South Fourth Street, North Wales Borough.

Repp was pronounced dead at Abington Health-Lansdale Hospital, police said.

Repp was extricated from his vehicle by Towamencin Vol. Fire Co. following the 1:15 a.m. crash on Troxel Road, south of Carriage Lane, police said.

An investigation is still ongoing, police said.

Repp's passenger, Richard Welhaf, 21, of the 2400 block of Jodi Sue Lane, Colmar, Hatfield Township, was tranported by ambulance to the helipad at Abington Health-Lansdale Hospital, and then flown by MedEvac to Abington Memorial Hospital in Abington, police said.

Police said a preliminary investigation indicated that Repp was southbound on Troxel Road in his 2008 Toyota Scion when the vehicle left the roadway.

The Scion struck several sections of a split-rail fence, a tree and a large boulder before coming to rest on its side in the northbound lane of Troxel Road, police said.

The exact details and circumstances surrounding the accident are under investigation by the Towamencin Township Police Traffic Safety Unit.
