Off-Duty Cop Was Checking on Child's Wellbeing in Hilltown Luring Incident

Hilltown Township Police have closed the case on an attempted abduction last Friday on Fairhill Road. No criminal activity had occurred, police said.

Hilltown Township Police have closed the case on an attempted child luring incident last Friday on Fairhill Road.
An off-duty police officer from another department contacted Hilltown Township Police and told them he had approached the boy out of concern for his wellbeing, according to The Perkasie News Herald.
There was no criminal activity, police said.
The officer had asked a young boy who was walking on the 600 block of Fairhill Road where he was going, where he was coming from and if he needed a ride. The cop fled after a neighbor confronted him, police said.
