Pennridge High Softball Coach Accused of Sexual Affair With 16-Year-Old Heads to Trial

Eric Romig, 36, of Richland Township, allegedly had a five-month sexual affair with one of his players. Prosecutors are investigating the claim that Romig had affairs with four other teenage girls.

Eric Romig, the Pennridge High School and Sellersville Belles softball coach who allegedly had a five-month sexual relationship with a 16-year-old girl he coached, waived his preliminary hearing on Wednesday and heads to trial in the Bucks County Court of Common Pleas, per The Morning Call.
Romig, 36, of 1247 Fieldstone Court, Richland Township, faces multiple felony charges and remains in Bucks County prison on $1 million bail.
The Bucks County District Attorney's office is investigating whether Romig also had sexual relations with four other teenage girls, per the article.
Between May and October 2013, Romig allegedly had a sexual fling with one of his players, with affairs happening in his home and at Earl B. Druckenmiller Park in Sellersville.
Once the alleged victim's parents found sexual text messages and videos on their daughter's phone, Romig's alleged jig was up.
