Police: Alleged Burglar Left Cell Phone Behind

Lansdale Borough Police arrested two men for theft after one of them left a cell phone behind at the scene, according to the Reporter.

Two men who were arrested Thursday for breaking into multiple cars in the area left behind a blatant clue—a cell phone.

Richard Bernard Brown, 21, of Quakertown, and Dylan Michael Aukett, 19, of Hatfield, were caught after Lansdale Borough Police say one of them left their cell phone in a car that they allegedly broke into, according to an story in the Reporter.

Police said that between April 14 and April 17, the men broke into four cars, stealing items and credit cards, according to the Reporter.

Detectives used photos, texts and a Facebook application on the phone to locate the pair, they told the Reporter.
