Police Investigating Towamencin Pool Vandalism

As a result of the damage, the pool was closed and will remain that way until at least Tuesday, July 8, officials said.

The Towamencin Township Police Department is investigating vandalism that closed the township swimming pool due to broken glass.

According to police, the vandalism happened late Saturday night or early Sunday morning at the Towamencin Township pool. Broken glass was thrown into both swimming pools along with a traffic cone and reflector, police said.

Bottles were broken over the edge of the pool, getting glass inside and outside the water, police said.

As a result of the damage, the pool was closed and will remain that way until at least Tuesday, July 8, officials said.

The total cost of the damage caused by the cleanup, repairs and loss of use is still being determined, police said.
